Steve Shanabruch, graphic designer extraordinaire has created a series entitled “One designer’s take on Chicago” in which he creates a logo for every neighborhood in Chicago! I love it! His goal is to post a new logo every Monday, Wednesday and Friday until all 77 communities are posted. With every logo, Steve gives a history of the hood. Check his website to see all the logos he has created thus far and keep checking back to see the latest.
“Some of these logos are based on personal experiences and intimate knowledge of certain neighborhoods (such as Beverly, where I grew up), but in most cases these logos come from inspiration gleaned from various sources, including online research and conversations with current and past residents.” – Steve Shanabruch
